Hey vixen :p
Everyone seems to have got hit with the flu this winter - never known a winter like it. I came down with it on Christmas Day. Got through the day just about
, but the night was awful. I could've had the flu jab, but missed it. Still, it's pretty much over for me now, apart from random coughing fits here and there. Bad time for your son; hope he gets through it all okay and passes his exams and driving test :/ For whatever it's worth, I would say the exams are more important; the driving test can always be re-taken and most people take 2 or more tries to pass it anyway.
Anyhow, I managed to go today, after umpteen cups of water and mugs of tea! Not as much as I would've liked, but it cleared some of the backlog so to speak. I felt more comfortable about
having my chollah roll with raspberry jam, which I duly had :p @Choc - challah (seems like I spelt it wrong >.>) is this:
www.zuckerfoods.com/zuckers_challah_rolls.htmlIt's basically slightly sweet braided Jewish bread, and it's lovely. Quite hard to obtain outside of Jewish delicatessens, although I've sometimes seen a loaf at Waitrose. The loaves are too big for us, though; rolls are ideal.
I didn't make any TLCs for today, but a general TLC is to eat more healthily from now on. I dunno if challah bread with raspberry jam comes under the heading of healthy >_>. But I had a quite healthy dinner of chicken, bit of couscous and some salad. I bought some syrup of figs for constipation. I asked at the chemist's about
miralax; oh dear god was it embarrassing. I must have spent 10 minutes standing at the counter, wanting to bury my head in the sand, while the people behind the till tried to find out what Miralax was. They asked if I meant Microlax and bought out a packet to show me; it was an enema, so I said a "no, I don't think so...". Just gave up in the end. Also bought a liquid iron supplement called Feroglobin, which I hope is suitable. Got things like iron, B vitamins, folic acid and a few trace minerals in it. (Pricey enough, that's for sure.) Anyhow, if I want Miralax I think I'm going to have to order it off the internet... :-/
