I have been using the same probiotic for quite awhile and really liked it, I have always thought it has made a difference. Well I just noticed today that the last bottle I started in December they changed part of the formula! They changed the acidophilus strain DDS-1, to the acidophilus strain LA-14.
It is interesting because middle December I started feeling a little off and as I researched this new strain I found info that said, LA-14 is not recommended for those treating a condition-specific approach and wanting an anti-inflammatory response, that it is not anti-inflammatory and is an anti-infection and anti-allergy strain!
That is all well and good for others, but not for a Crohn's patient! It just makes me mad because the company didn't list any info that the strain changed or any notice when I reordered that it was a slightly different product!
Does anyone use a probiotic that has the Acidophilus DDS-1 strain in it that they like?
