Just had my OBGYN this week wanted to bring up with her possible pregnancy and my meds...she is pretty persistant on making sure I am OFF the CD meds...I tried to tell her my old GI specialist, surgeon and OBGYN all say what even my current GI says which is staying on the meds and ensuring you are as best under control you are is safer for both you and the unborn child than trying to go without the meds she didnt want to seem to hear that...When I miss Humira for just one week when sick I get stomach issues and the longer I go without they escalate last time I went without was post resection surgery..what happened...yet more flaring and a fistula within 4 weeks of no humira...if I take it everyother week again bad stuff happens so i am on it weekly...

I also had my eye doc appt today.  I use to have glasses for reading and pc use however I saw a new Doc and he is the only 1 my insuance covers in my city and only have vision insurance for 2 more months due to it being cobra.  Medicare doesnt cover vision care unless you are prone to glaucoma (I am high risk for that) but now he tested and I need glasses to see far he said my vision is 20/20 but very blurry and was baffled as to why I have noticed lately that I have more difficulty reading things from afar.  My Doc I saw 2 years ago still said just reading glasses

does this sound normal?

Yes, I agree with Nanners, time for a new OB/Gyn.

I fired one OB/Gyn when I was 32 weeks into a normal pregnancy. It would have been better if I'd found a new one before the whole thing got out of hand. It's never too late to change docs, but I think you need someone who's more supportive and informed right now.

If your GI referred you to this OB, then I'd suggest you talk to your GI and report the conversation that you had. Does your GI think you should stay on your Crohn's meds while pg? If so, this is the wrong referral! Does your GI want you to get off your meds????
