Anyways bed for me-I was sleep deprived last night.

A winter carnival sounds exciting Endeavour, is there a theme to your dress?
I guess trying to put on a few pounds will be pretty difficult. DS has now managed to gain a whole 3 stone(42lb) but it has taken just over a year.He is smack bang in the middle of the healthy range in the BMI chart. Thought they would now take him off his one a day enteral nutrition feeding supplements but they have decided to put him on one every other day for 6 months and review his weight again.

Does it matter how small or accurate the stitches are, Choc? Maybe they were just too busy invading and marauding to sew properly .

The Humira has kicked in here (hooray) so I'm busily trying to catch up on things I wasn't able to do last week. I did some cooking yesterday - soothing soup, and stuffed zucchini - and have been trying to do some tidying today. I feel sad about how messy the house looks, but also know that I am doing my best, so that will have to suffice for a while.

I went to the gp today, and he is less than thrilled about my gut (neither am I) and also said that the bug has turned into sinusitis, and has given me prescriptions for antibiotics etc. I'm going to be bad and delay starting them for a day or two, just so I can get organised here and take advantage of the Humira while it lasts. If last fortnight is anything to go by, the Humira will probably have worn off by Thursday, so an upset gut from antibiotics will just be more of the same, won't it. Right now, I just want a BREAK from it all.

I went to the nursery while my prescription was being filled, and the silly owners decided to shut up shop (early?), without checking to see if any customers were still browsing inside, so I chose my seedlings and went to pay, only to discover that the office was all locked up and unattended, and that I was stranded behind some very high walls and some very solid iron gates. Fortunately, a nearby florist was still open for Valentine's Day and they helped rescue me... after lots of desperate yelling on my part :-/. Needless to say, I am pretty unimpressed, and doubt I'll be going back to that particular nursery for a bit :-/.

OK, I'm off to do a bit of last minute washing-up and tidying, and then it's bed for me. Have a good day, ev everyone, and Valentine's greeting to those who celebrate it.

Vixen, I think it's good they're keeping such a watchful and long-term attitude to your son's weight and health, though I can imagine he'd be pretty sick of those enteral feeds by now. I'm at the point where I have trouble stomaching mine now, and mine are just for emergencies these days.

Hello all!! Choc so sorry for all the stress your sewing project is causing you. I personally just don't have the patience for it. My wonderful hubby is the sewer in our house surprisingly. He makes all my microwavable heating bags for me. Saves me some cash for sure.

Ivy, I too do not blame you for holding off on the abx. Maybe you can try using a neti pot to help clear out your sinuses instead. Maybe might help avoid the dreaded abx and the side effects they bring on.

Well my tlc's today are to get thru my work day. Joints have been a little calmer since hubby gave me my Complete B vitamin shot that has a little steroid in it too. I was hurting so bad Saturday, and its nice as this shot works pretty quickly. Today I go and get my knees shot up with cortisone again. I think that may help my other painful joints too as I think with my knee hurting so it is causing me to change the way I walk and causing the other pain problems. After that it will be straight home and ice them up well.

Choc-good luck with the sewing. I can remember years ago wanting to make a patchwork quilt(comforter?) for my bed, after a while I decided that perhaps I should make a cushion instead, lol I didn't even get that far it ended up being an oversized pin cushion :D

Ivy-so sorry that you got locked in (I thought they only did that in pubs in the UK :) ) I do hope the florist tells the nursery what they did and that perhaps they recompense you with something for the garden.

 Believe it or not Ivy he actually likes them lol.
He had a letter through from GP today, he and the skin specialist have decided that he needs to be seen at the hospital re his Acne problem(even though it does looks better). I certainly cannot complain that he hasn't got his monies worth out of the NHS this past year or so.
