I was diagnosed with a rectral stricture on 1/25. For a few week prior to the colonoscopy, I had great difficulty having a bm - lots of straining. My GI Doc said that the colonoscopy could help the stricture... as it may have been dialated a bit. Although the follow up colonoscopy instructions indicated "regular diet" I put myself on a soft, low residue diet and ate very light. I had a few small bm's w/o any straining. Then it seemed I was unable to completely evacute for a day or so and I felt a bit nauseous so at my GI's suggestion I took a laxative about
10 days ago. Since that time i continued with a soft diet and had been having fairly regular bm's (some diaherria) but some not and no straining. I also did not have any nausea so I was basically feeling better. This past weekend, I had 2 pieces of pizza; a
cookie, some cooked sushi - which i removed most of the seeds and the cucumber, etc. I did not overeat but ate more then usual and did not eat "soft foods".
Since yesterday morning I have felt nauseous but have had a bm yesterday and today (yesterday Diaherria - today normal)- no straining. Yesterday, I basically ate rice, saltines and mint tea/same w/today). I guess the "regular food" did not agree w/me. None of this stuff bothered me before...
Does anyone have any suggestions for relieving the nausea? I am supposed to see a surgeon regarding the stricuture next month.
Does anyone have any experience w/strictures.
thans for your help.
