Loud bowel sounds and distention are not good signs. I wouldn't let this go on for too long!!

I know I probably should seek medical attention.
I'm dreading it so bad though!

For one... I don't have medical insurance, and a trip to the ER isn't cheap :(

Also, I'm afraid they're going to find something else wrong with me.

I'm going to wait a little bit longer. If nothing has happened by then, I'll go.

I had the bloated sore tummy and rumbles for two weeks after I was let out of the hospital. I had a gut full of gas that could not escape!! I ended up last Wed back into the hospital for two nights on IV, and NPO(nothing by mouth) along with pain killers and two heavy anitbiotics and pred. I got out on Friday morning tooting my way home!!

You should go in and see the dr, yes it will be pricey but what would be more costly is if something perferates because it is a blockage. It could just be trapped gasses in narrowing parts but it could be something that needs attention right away...

lady1012, the last few times I was in the hospital (which thankfully was has been a couple years ago), the same thing happened to me.
I was hooked up to an IV with Flagyl, saline, and could only eat ice chips. I was there for about a week though. Finally the last couple days I was there I got to eat beef broth and jell-o. Yum :)

But on my way home, my stomach was sooo bubbly! And not in a good way!

ouch. i would head to the er if it was me...i have not had a blockage diagnosed bu i am 100% positive that i have had partial obstructions that hurt like heck...i wouldn't mess around with that...i know the thought of needing medical attention with no insurance is horrible but remamber- health 1st and all other considerations second. you need to make sure your health is addressed and if it's something serioous it's taken care of before it develops into somehting worse...as for the money factor- just make up a name and tell them you're in the country illegally...works for millions of others! just kidding.

Good luck with your root canal! I had one done recently and it was horrible. But my root canal was for one of the front teeth, it might not hurt as bad if it's one of the back ones.

I've recently been going through the same issue but it has been going on for a while I'm always one to leave it untill it's really bad i hate hospitals i know that sounds bad. It has been put down to the fact that i have an obstruction in my large bowel, I've have just had the area temporary balloon and I'm waiting for surgery to have the very bottom of my large bowel removed. I have had an operation for this issue before. You could try doing an enima and see if that works, and if it keep on happening then go get it checked, unless this that uncomfortable go and get it checked better to be safe.
If the symptoms persist, keep on top of it as i just got out of the hospital for the third time since january and they just tried to pass it off as inflammation and they were trying to treat it but nothing was working. I had 2 ct scans two xrays bearium enima and a colonoscopy which couldn't be completed because of the obstruction, before they put it down to the obstruction.
I don't want to worry you just letting you know of my experience with this issues.

Also malnourished and anemic

Only on Entocourt just been taken off imuran to prepare for surgery as my bone marrow levels have dropped from from the imuran I have also tried ensure plus, infliximab, mesalamine and humeria.
