remicade or 6mp

Hey Carmen,

All meds have side effects, shoot look up Tylenol and the side effects would freak you out. In my opinion, 6mp is a good drug to try first before Remicade. Both are great meds, so either one would be good.

We have many members here who have been successfully treated with Imuran or 6mp for over 10 years or more. If these meds work for them, they are able to be maintained for longer periods than with Remicade. I see many who have been on Remicade for 4, 5, or 6 years to only have it peter out on them and then have to either add 6mp or go onto another med like Humira or Cimzia.

My vote would be to try the 6mp first. Hope that helps some.
