Earlier this year I posted in the UC board on this forum, thinking I had UC or UP, but after having a colonoscopy, I've found out that it's actually Crohn's, which has me pretty upset. What also has me really upset is that my GI refuses to prescribe pain medication stronger than Tramadol. I know, doctors need to be careful about
prescribing narcotics, but this is ridiculous. Every single time I have a bowel movement, it's followed by hours and hours of sometimes severe pain that is so bad I can't even sit down. The tramadol didn't touch the pain, then when I asked for something different, he prescribed Soma(a muscle relaxer) and it also did NOTHING to help the pain.
I want to stay with this doctor because I know he's good, he's done things for a lot of people in my family, but what should I do here? Any suggestions? I have a desk job so when I get these pains during the day, I can't even sit down to do my work! It gets so incredibly frustrating. Anyway, thanks for reading my complaints.
