I use vertericyn: http://www.vetericyn.com/ it's the same as microcyn for humans http://www.oculusis.com/
if you want to be amazed log into the mexico part of the site in english and look at the diabetic ulcer improvements.
Vetericyn is the same as their human stuff but much cheaper. plug your zip code into the product finder - I can get it locally, and have also gotten it on amazon. I soak my wound with it on gauze at least once a day. easy, harmless and efficient. It elevated the amount of oxygen in the wound for 8 hours or so after. that's a Big Deal. Daily I also I use manuka/jellybrush 20+ honey.
As a matter of fact, after exhausting all the topical drugs, I only use topical steroids on the weekend (clobetesol)) and manuka honey and the vertricyn during the week. I use straight vasaline on gauze to cover the manuka. I've been through a lot of drug related reversals (antibiotics, tacrolimus gel... and too much steriods) and this works the best. this is the exact manuka I use is this exactly from this exact vendor

Last year we tried a bunch of stuff that was more "medical" daily clobetesol, minocycline, FK504/tacrolimus, and I lost a year of healing because the wound went backwards instead of forwards. If you go to a university hospital - they'll try to put you on cellcept. I've not tried that because I loves my LDN.
My wound is healing well, slow but sure. But this is what works for me - and it certianly will do you no harm. I photograph ever 3-4 days and make sure I'm headed in the right direction. You need a good doc. I haven't put soap on my wound ever, it would freak me out. You need to be gentle. I also soak in the bath with a lot of epsom salts every day.
There are a lot of varieties of PG, slow, fast, and all things in between but there is one universal truth, the earlier and better you treat it at the start the better your chances of fast healing. The current prevailing medical wisdom is to hit it very hard, very early. I missed out on that -- late into the game because it took a loooong time to get a DX. I hope you find a fabulous doc, because that would really help you. please think about
it. all the best.
I'll check in on you here. I'm sorry it took me so long to write back.
