Sorry to be so graphic, but I'm needing your advice. My diarrhea has increased a lot today (about 15)
and the smell is obnoxious!! While I know we don't have sweetest smelling poop because of this DD, but
this is smelling so strong of ammonia, it's enough to knock me backwards and it's lingering!!

Anyone of my 'family' got any ideas. It's driving me nuts!!

Well I could try and stop the smell, but I don't know what's causing this nasty odor. A new one for me!!

It sounds like you are having Steatorrhea or "fat in the stool." Common in crohns. Good luck!!!!

hey vicki, I eat papaya's, takes the odor away. I don't know where you are demographically, papayas are plentiful from mexico, here in san diego. But if you can get them they work within 24 hrs. by the way that was one of reasons I couldn't do public br very well. I've gotten over (somewhat) the phobia of public restrooms, because I'm not so embarrassed anymore.

This happens to me sometimes too. I just usually chalk it up to another one of those fun things you have to deal with...

There are drops for the toilet and odor sprays and even the old match trick but I just stink up the public restrooms because ,why shouldn't I share. After all the guy before me didn't bother to wipe the seat or even to put the lid up , just pee'd all over the place. He was sloppy, inconsiderate , unsanitary and rude so if I can scorch the hair in his nose , so much the better.
AG is right about papayas too. I eat them for that reason and the fact that they agree with me and taste good. All though now that I think of it, maybe he swallows the seed. That would work as a plug and no smell would get out ,,,at least for a while...

Thanks for the papaya tip. I'll be going to the store in the morning! :-) I'm sure the other public restrooms patrons would like to thank you also.

hey sniper nice to see you post, hope all is well with you and your wife, I sure hope things turn out good for you guys. So happy to hear you got it with papaya's. you can get the occassional bad one, I just throw it out, but I ususally buy two at a time. I try to eat one a week, they're big, usually around 3-4 lb's.
