bleeding after colonoscopy

i undergone colonoscopy yesterday at 2:00pm. the doctor gave me a summery of the results including 6 pictures of what he saw.

Summary:
- internal hemorrhoids found (455.0)
- sever colitis (558.9) found in the proximal ascending colon. biopsy taken
- the cecum and the ICV are distorted but otherwise normal
- this is a very, unusual, short segment of very inflammed, ulcerated, friable colon ? crohn's. also consider malignacy/lymphoma but not likely.

could someone help me interpret this and tell me not to worry about?

my doctor says i need to wait for the biopsy so we could discuss more what we need to do.

Sounds like you have some inflammation going on and possibly have Crohns or UC. We cannot diagnose you from this description, and no one should really be trying to, as we are patients as well not doctors.

As for bleeding some after the scope it is normal as they have taken biopsies and the internal hemmoroids will cause the bleeding too. Your biopsies will provide much needed answers. If it should be Crohns, I do want to tell you this is not a death sentence by any means. You will be on meds for life, but you will be able to enjoy life again once you get the disease under control.

So I know its hard waiting, but unfortunately you will have to wait for the biopsies to get that final diagnosis. Just know that should you have Crohns, we will be here to help you to live a better life with Crohns. Welcome to forum, we are like a little family here and do care. Hugs!

Thank you so much for replying. I should have read the newbie instructions before I posted. But anyway I am glad someone out there has made time and read my post. I will wait for my doctor's further instruction and will share the experience I am undergoing.

i just got a call from my doctor and my biopsy turn out to be negative. no cancer cells found from my recent colonoscopy. the waiting is over now and he said he want to see me because of the probability of having Crohn's disease.
thank you to all who read and responded to my post. i will keep you posted in this journey.

Great news for you! I'm happy you had a "no cancer" result. Now you can move on to figuring out about the Crohn's.
