eating once a day

So for about a month a couldn't eat and now I am able to eat once a day more than that and my body does not like it. My tummy hurts, I get spasms in my intestines, cramps and so on you know all the fun stuff. I have tried the upped meds my gi told me to for a month which is why I can now eat once a day and I called him today and he said he can not see why I can only eat once a day it doesn't make sense. All he can do is a x-ray and that is it. Come on really. I just told him forget it I will suffer as I always do. Why do I even bother with doctors to begin with. They start out all great and helpful and the first sign that I am having trouble and they throw their hands in the air and walk away. They even said I don't have Crohn's because granulomas (sp) are not present during biopsy but I have inflammation at my terminal illium? They can't tell me what else it is. I give up. Sorry guys just having a day. I hope everyone else is have a great day. smilewinkgrin

I understand completely. I was in and out of the hospital for 2 months and they couldn't tell me what was wrong. Everytime I ate, the same symptoms occurred in me and back in the hospital on IV I went. They kept discharging me once they had the pain undercontrol, then send me home with no meds and wondered why I ended up back in the hospital. Even now, I still have problems eating, mostly with nausea and then running to the bathroom 1 hour later.

They even tried to get me to believe the pain and that was all in my head just because I have mental health issues. I got so fed up same as you and just wanted to scream. I cried myself to sleep practically every night because no one could say what was wrong and I was in such pain. I still get emotional when I think of what I went through. Sep/Oct was in hosp, Nov/Dec was life on hydromorphone, Jan/Feb was finally a GI telling me I had crohn's and putting me on meds that finally helped.

For the spasming......ask for buscopan, that is what helped me out so I could eat a little. I spent most of time drinking ensure rather than eating.

I hope things start looking up for you soon. I know what you are going through.

Thank you. My dr pretty much said there is nothing he can do. I can call if I start lossing weight though. Which won't happen unless I want it too because I make sure to keep my calories up with supplement drinks.

I hate that you have had to go through so much. It just isn't fair.

I have decided to heal myself again. lol Well as much as I can and more than any doctor has. :)
