big abcess, surgery, surgery+6 days hospital, colonoskopy, surgery to drain it once again, and placement of a setan. 5 days out it is uncomfortable. throbbing down below around the setan. bm takes the wind out of me for an hour or two and i have to use anxiety rx and pain med. CAN ANYONE help me since I am a newbie to all this?

want to go back to pharmacy and work (on my feet again!) when can this be accomplished since I am still uncomfortable with the setan>does it get better?

Hi 2011crohnspatient and welcome to Healingwell. I started a new post so you didn't get buried in Adam's post and could receive more responses to "your" question.

When first in the recovery faze you are going to feel more pain and be more comfortable. As the gunk gets out of there you will start feeling better. Many of us even without the abscesses and setons use pain meds daily. Once you get everything under control you will begin to feel better and get back to work. Its going to take sometime so as hard as I know it is, be patient, better days are ahead. Hugs!
