Had a follow up ct yesterday, one drain is still producing. Not much volume but still obviously not clear and stuck at about 20cc/day. This afternoon I get some results.

Most likely two scenarios are ink test or being re-admitted for IV antibiotics. I do NOT want to go back in. I push through pain everyday but cannot sit still...that just kills me. Before this dd I went non-stop 16 hours a day. It's bad enough how hard this has slowed me down, but I crawl out of my skin stuck in a bed...no way...no sir.

If antibiotics are the way to go, they're going to have to convince me pretty good why IV is superior.

Cross those toes too, ummmkay?

Woohoo...kind of.

Fistula it is. Surgeon is on board with trying remicade first. He's been a pretty straight shooter with me so far and says he gives it a 70% chance of working. Said if he went in I'd be going on it right after anyway so it just makes sense. Love to hear some success stories.

The second abscess is gone and he pulled that drain. That alone makes it a good day, so much easier to manage just one.

I'm feeling pretty OK about it. Not liking the thought of a few more weeks at least with this drain but it sure sounds better than a resection.
