Hello,

I am new to this site. I am a 40 year old who has been diagnosed with Crohn's since 1995. I have had 2 resections. Both in my ileum, the last taking my ileocecal valve in April of 2010. I am currently looking for support as I am on a leave from work to deal with my latest flare up.

Hi and welcome! Im sorry you are flaring. :-( I think you have come to the right place. I was diagnosed in February and feel very lucky to have found this place, It has provided me with a wealth of information and it is comforting to have people to talk to that are going thru similar things. Again. Welcome.

If you read around with your "free" time from work, there is plenty of information and ppl who went thru just the same. Many, many times...

Thank you for the support. I have been struggling with flare up since October of 2010. I had resectioning the April before and had a good 3-4 months after. I am looking for homeopathic ways to deal with D and abdominal cramping. I also have nausea and vomiting certain times when I am going through phases of C.

Right now I am a member of a clinical study for a "gene blocking" drug that has not been FDA approved yet. I cannot the copayments for Remicade right now and I am looking for alternative treatments.

Current meds

phenergan, nexium, immodium, hydrocodone(for pain)
