Pursue Crohns Dx?

Six years ago I was having loose stools so they did a colonoscopy. Doctor said they found ulcer on small intestine and if I was still having problems to come back. Went back six months later and did the pill cam. Went in to review the results.....met with the nurse practitioner and she told me it was crohns. I was kind of shocked as I would have thought a doctor would have given me the news if it was that serious but I said OK and have been on Pentasa ever since. Have been doing good. Went for my yearly check up and told him I was fine a few months ago. I asked him if there was ever a biopsy done and he said no and I never had blood work. He said it is not definately crohns because we have never done further testing but they have been treating it like it is and told me to keep doing what I have been doing. He said it could be IBS as I have no bleeding and no weight loss etc. I said OK. Well a month later and now I am getting cramps after I eat and as soon as I get up in the morning I have to relieve my bowels. They have been soft and thin for the past six months. I did tell him that and he said he was not concerned with that. I just called to make another appointment to see if I could get something for the cramping. Should I pursue a definate DX or just keep treating it as Crohns. Is the showing of an ulcer on the pill cam enough for a dx? I am a worry wart and little cramp can turn into a big cramp with me!! Thanks.

I would pursue your dx maybe get a second opinion, you know your body better than anyone, if you do not feel as if it is ok then keep telling them or change drs if they will not listen, I have been fighting my whole life for a diagnosis, ( read my posts) Today is the first glimmer of hope that I may get some treatment, so a good day for me mentally :) I hope you feel better soon, I know my old GI would not give me a dx of crohns because I had no ulcers if this helps?
