double dose humira

ive been taking Humira since January, had a cat scan in march that showed narrowing in the terminal illium, and then a mri in may just a week ago that still showed the narowing. My doctor did say that it had improved since march, but wants to try putting me on 80mg of humira every two weeks intead of the 40mg im on now.

So has anyone else been on 80mg of humira with greater success? Also I do seem to be improving, just slowly. Has anyone else had humira take awhile to work? My doctor is trying to talk me into surgery, but id really like to give humira all the time I can. Seems like from reading posts here that surgery just sets you up for more surgeries, which is why im reluctant to go that route.

Has anyone here had only one surgery that kept them in remission for a long period of time?

I am on 80 a week, and have been for several months. 40 was not cutting it. And I pretty much noticed a difference right away. I am feeling quite good now.

She said I could do 40 a week, but sometimes people might forget to take it every week. Is there a difference between every week or double every other week.

I take 40 a week. when I was on 40 every other and had a fistula the drainage and size of it grew. They tried to place me on 40 each week to avoid surgery but it didnt do it. Post op they tried 40 biweekly again it wasnt enough and my CRP rose and for me thoey found weekly was my best option
