From facebook:
February 2011.
Prof John Hermon Taylor has had a scientific breakthrough with a new Smart Test that detects &
quantifies the MAP found in Crohns Sufferers. A really important step that will also show that the New DNA Crohns Anti-MAP Vaccine works in Crohns Sufferers too.
April 2010
A grant has been given to our Prof JHT to test the new vaccine on cattle infected with MAP ( Crohns ) in animals it is called Johne's Disease.
Tim Page :
I am the founder of The Chronic Crohns Campaign UK, which is linked directly to Prof John Hermon Taylor at Kings College Hospital, London, where after 13 years of fund raising of private funds totalling over £2 million, we have spent £650.000 over the last 7 years developing a New DNA Crohns Vaccine, which is now going for human trials, testing, red tape through to licensing & then manufacture at a cost of around £1.5 million. Time, around 2 to 3 years hopefully, we really do need those funds to achieve this !!!

Vixen - I hope I'm not right and that those researchs are all true. But I've alsway be negative so if it turn I'm right.. No bad suprise and if I'm wrong : Yay good suprise. Because theses researchs are by far the more encouraging one. I mean all the other stuff I found are some place were they find possible gene that make people predisposed to have crohn. Not that I'm agaisnt helping people not to get it.. But I don't see anywhere stuff that will help people who already have crohn exept JGT work.
I need to know people work on that ! Even though it don't really finish with a remedy but just the idea there will might be one someday.. Because personnaly it's the hardest part for me with crohn.. Thinking that it's forever. Thinking that we might fight for nothing.. (against something unbeatable)

Tommy-you gave me a mission ;) If you go to this page http://www.kcl.ac.uk/schools/biohealth/research/nutritional/staff/research.html
you will find him named as 'research staff' and also as a 'visiting Professor' at King's College London.
Like I said, I believe that his research is independently funded and that maybe he has 'use' of the facilities there(?) and that is maybe why it doesn't come up as King's College' research as such.
Only my guess mind you, we can live in hope !!

It's after seeing that page that I started find everything suspicious !
But yes, as you said, is research might be independent, and I hope so !

But with those it may take a good two year to get rid or almost rid of the MAP..
And taking antibiotic for that long sure isn't that good.

I agree tommy13.. :(
How about
colloidal silver? I guess it is considered as an antibiotic too..
I have seen some people mentioning it. For ex: crohnsboy too..
Any positive or negative comments about
that option in the HW Crohns community?
Regards.

I use silver all the time—my Samsung washing machine has a disinfectant silver ions option...lol.
I will not be ingesting it any time soon, because I don't want to turn blue. ;-)

Is turning blue thing true? :)
Chronsboy says it is not..
In a few sites they claim that in old times, rich lived longer because of the silver spoons they owned..
His usage and comments also supports the bacteria theory..
Samsung.. does it zap too?:)

Hello dear Professor
I'm a new to crohn for about
3 months.. Of course I've quickly learn that was a lifetime disease...
But after that, I though.. ''Even though there is actualy no cure for it.. They might find one one day !'' And started doing my own research about
research. Let just say it wasn't really encouraging... Most of the major break-thrue were finding possible gene that might be responsible.. Far from a cure.. And finaly I found something about
MAP and your researchs. Way more encouraging..! If that DNA vaccine could see the light I'd be more than happy. There wouldn't actually be words powerful enough to tell how happy I'd be.
Please continue your research ! I know they're thousands of peoples just like me that wish the same.. And not only ''crohnies'', peoples arround them that suffer from it too.
Thanks again for everything you've done already.
Please accept my best salutation to you and your team.
Someone who consider you a hero of our times!
Tommy

I am somewhat upset with the fact that even such researchers also are too conservative with publishing their findings.. Becasue they also start a company and do not disclose the information they have..
If they had disclosed the findings they have, others would have a basis to contuine searching for the final cure..
On the other hand, we already know what big Pharma companies do.. maintenance therapy.. well, mostly..
Good luck to all of us in this materialist world..
