Hi guys! Its been awhile since I've posted, prolly cause I'm doing pretty well managing on cimzia. Question for you guys: My sister in law has had several surgeries on her foot. The latest has caused a staph infection (MRSA) to be specific, currently being treated with antibiotics but it will not go away until the metal is taken out via another surgery. I know I can't be around her because of my compromised immune system, but what about family members that will be dressing her wounds? My father-in-law just tried to come by the house and I was scared to let him in. I feel crazy and mean, but I'm finally feeling better and do not want to risk it. My husband will need to go and help out by cleaning and dressing her wounds soon. I wish I could myself, but I know I can't. But will it be safe for my husband to do it and come home without risk of spreading the infection? Don't know who else to ask, except for my crohnies!! Thanks in advance for any guidance!!
