Pleasantly Surprised

I went to an oral surgeon yesterday to get my wisdom teeth taken out and I know this seems like it has nothing to do with Crohn's but every medical thing seems to have an association with Crohn's. Well I wrote on the paper they give you, I wrote previous surgery: Fistulotomy. When the oral surgeon saw me he asked me if it was okay to ask why I had had the fistulotomy. And I told him Crohn's Disease. I didn't think he would know too much about it since many of the previous doctors I had seen didn't know anything about it or thought I had gotten it because of a certain acne medicine. So when he knew what Crohn's was and took care to prescribe the medicine that would be the least likely to make me flare up and gave me a nausea medication along with the pain meds. I was just pleasantly surprised that a dentist/oral surgeon would know so much about Crohn's when I had had gynos and PCP's not know the first thing about it.
