Capsule Endoscopy soon

My doctor is still iffy about diagnosing me with Crohn's Disease. so he is having me do a Capsule Endoscopy since i had a colonoscopy already. If he sees anything worsened after the Capsule Endoscopy he will do another colonoscopy.

I'm sick of not knowing what is going on...i see a neurologist soon for my migraines and tremors.

In almost 23 years of Crohn's, colonoscopy has rarely showed anything except some hemmies and some ulceration at the terminal ileum. For a lot of us, our disease is focused in the small bowel and the colonoscopy can not reach that far. A pill endoscopy can get a much better picture of what is going on. There are still other tests that might give different/more information too. M R Entrography, CT Scans, Small Bowel Follow Through........ The capsule endoscopy is one of the easiest.

^Does the disease present itself differently when in the small bowel? I heard people have less D because the large intestine is able to function properly.

Hey Adam, I went through the same thing.
Many tests no Dx. It was the pill cam that gave me a clear Dx.
Hope you do not have CD but if you do, best you know so you can get proper treatment.

The test itself could not be easier, so do not worry or be concerned about that.
