Seeing a surgeon!!!

Well, I guess I knew it was coming. My GI says there's nothing more I can do from a medical stand
point. So I'm seeing the surgeon on July 11th. Maybe I'll get to be feeling better quicker this way.
Who knows!!!!!

I was hoping you would be able to avoid surgery, but feeling better is the goal, so if that is what it takes then...

Gotta agree with Zanne here, I hate seeing that you may have to have surgery, but with the misery you have been suffering, I think its time. Sending healing prayers your way Vicky. Hugs!

Thanks Gail, yep, I think it's time. It's been 10 years since my last surgery, so Ive done well!!

Any chance they can put you on total bowel rest w/TPN until your surgery to build you up nutritionally and help quiet the intestine down a bit in the process??

C2, I sometimes wish they would.But all she suggested was for me to try and drink Ensure. I don't
think that's gonna happen. My belly will reject that without a second glance :)

Bummer, dunny. Sure am sorry about that. The relief would be nice AND its always good to be in the best shape possible BEFORE surgery. Ah well. Relief IS in sight. Tho sure do wish it could be sooner for you!

Thanks OTD. Yeah, this flare has been going on for a long time now, then I throw in the
pancreatic attacks and I haven't been a happy camper!!

It's like this morning I work up very distended again, yet the last couple of days I've been
not too bad. My GI says that when that happens I'm obstructing, so I have to stop eating &
hope tomorrow is a better day. And so it goes :(
