Entocort and swelling hands and feet

I have been on Entocort a week today. But for the past few days my left foot and hand have been really puffy and swollen. Is this a side effect of the Entocort? I did send a email to the doc, but it being a holiday weekend, so do not expect a response till Tuesday.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I have not ever noticed anything like that. I have not dug up my paperwork, but you should still have yours handy since you've only been on it a week, does it say anything about swelling as a side effect? My DR has an answering service, as I am sure yours probably does, and they could forward a message like that to get you an answer as it could be very urgent.

Sounds like an allergic response of some kind. I had a peek at my paperwork and there's certainly no reference to such side effects. Definately contact a medical professional just to check. What dosage are you on? 9mg?

I would call my pharmacist for a quick check of the side effects and maybe take a benedryl to see what effect that had on the swelling. If it goes down you will have an answer about it being an allergic reaction. But just a thought that since it is a steroid, it could be fluid retention, though I don't know why it would be on one side only. If it gets any worse, I would head to an urgent care clinic if you can't get in touch with your doctor.
