I also posted a thread below that I would love input on. But I wanted to tell you more about myself.

I am currently attending The University of Alabama. I'm not sure yet if I even have Chron's. But I'm pretty convinced after everything I have been reading. I plan on going to the doctor later this week for further tests. I really need someone to talk to about this disease because I do not know any close friends battling it. Most would go to their parents, but mine have called me a hypochondriac for years. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I just wanted to welcome you to the Healingwell site. This is such an amazing site, the people are just awesome. I've never met more compassionate people all on 1-site before. I look forward to chatting with you on the Chat thread.

I have a lot of medical problems and originally found this site when I was looking for people with Ostomies that could perhaps answer any questions I might have had. And boy did they. I talked with quite a few people that gave me advice, information, and support prior to my ileostomy surgery and then after. My Loop ileostomy was May 10, of this year.

I don't have crohn's or UC, but have had horrible bowel problems since I was 3-years old. Then starting in January of this year my intestines became slower and slower, till they stopped moving and working all together. So I didn't have any options but to have a ileostomy. Best thing I ever did.

I hope you find the site useful and helpful to you.
What symptoms have you been having to think that you have crohns? You should definatley see a doctor as soon as you can if you are feeling this way and having symptoms. They will probably start by taking some bloods to check your inflammatory markers to see if there is any inflammation.
I'm sorry that you feel that you can't talk to your parents.
I hope that we can be supportive and answer questions for you about this.
