Tell her we are all thinking of her and to not give up the fight! We are our own best advocate and if she is not happy with that Dr.'s decision she may need to demand a second opinion or new Dr.! ((Hugs to Nanners))

Urgh, I hate it when hospitals muck you around. Even worse when they do it with ill people because they don't have the stamina to fight against it. And there is nothing more annoying than being fobbed off with a new doctor, especially one who contradicts what the previous doctor said.

I hope Nanners gets her previous doctor back and finds out exactly what is going on. If you read this, my best wishes (again) for your speedy recovery, Nanners...

Oh my!!! The hospital is where she needs to be right now. I sure wish she will get her old GI back, this one sounds like a jerk.

I only brought my husband home from the hospital when he was able to tolerate a liquid diet with a small amount of solids thrown in. The doctor said he would deal with any pressure the insurance companies put on him - he wanted us to go home when we felt more confident of being able to manage.

I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying that this resolves soon Gail. Hang in there. You always have such good things to say to help people who are despairing. Keep in mind that this too shall pass. It is only a matter of time. So, keep your chin up and fight for your best options. Perhaps your husband can help?

Zanne, tell her to use the magic words , LAW SUIT , . I know we dont like to do it but when they look at you as old and costing them too much money, and they do that , you have to hit them where it hurts. Tell her not to give up the fight . As always she is in my prayers .

II spoke to gail briefly earlier today but she couldn't talk (visitors?). She had some things she wanted to talk about and was going to call me later but I haven't heard from her. I sent her a facebook message tonight. I hope she will see. I am getting a bit worried that things took a turn. She sounded OK this morning, but...... or maybe they sent her home and she is overwhelmed. If/when I get any news I will post. Anyone else please do the same.

Gail is such a caring and giving woman I know we are all missing her as much as she is missing us. Sending prayers, love and hugs.

I'm sorry to hear about her, I don't know her very well but I remember she always replay to my questions and I appreciate her kindness and her thoughts for others. Pleas give her my regards and tell her she's in my prayers.

I hope we hear something from Gail later today. Thinking about her a lot and wishing her the best. Isn't her daughter supposed to leave town this week too? Ugh.

Bless her heart. I bet she feels down, who wouldn't?? People need to feel they are definitely on the mend when they are released from the hospital. So frustrating. Hang in there Gail, we are pulling and praying for you!!!!!

Hey All,  Update on Gail - we chatted today and she is in much better spirits. Yesterday was a tough day for her. I am glad she sounds so much better today. She always tells me how much she loves this forum and the people in it.

my personal GI came to see me and they r going to attempt an cscope to see if they can possibly dialate the stricture. IF not then they might try the patency capsule to see if they can do a pillcam. If not then I could have to have the stricture removed. So I am in limbo right now till these tests run. Please update my lil CD forum. Thanks and much love to u all:) Oh by the way the other doc apologized and said he figured I misunderstooK him bcuz I was loco from the evi1 120 mg pred they had me on and it was making me a crying fool.

So glad to hear some good news. I take it that she almost got an apology from that jerk of a doctor (Almost)
Overall though a better out look coming from her, great!!!

Good news! I thought the forum members were gonna have to go over there and open up a can of whoop a-- on her doctors. I hope she continues to improve!!!!!!! Thanks for keeping us posted Vicky!!

Gail, glad to hear you are getting some care now. At least they have a plan of action. It sucks that you are in the hospital and in pain, but it sucks even more if they just keep doing the same things that have not worked for days with no other options in front of you.

I am hoping and praying that they can dilate the stricture and that you can avoid surgery. I hope you can stay in good spirits. (((hugs))). In hope you have a good night and tomorrow is better than today.

Good Evening,

Update - Gail had her scope however the 2 GI physicians are going to discuss the results in the morning.  Gail was started on a soft, lactose free diet ------Yehaaaaaaaaaa.  That is a good sign if they start to feed ya !

I just talked with her and as always she sends her love to all of you.
