Hugs 'Dawg!!! So sorry you are still battling these darn stones. Maybe time to go see the doc????

Dawg , sounds like your in a bad way with the stones again. As a passer of many many stones I can tell that your not completely blocked. This means the stone is very small or may even be in the form of what my doc called silt. Again this sounds like uric acid stuff . Have you asked your doc about Alapurinal ? This could really make a difference for you. One pill per day and I have cut down passing stones a great deal. Don't take stones lightly . I played around with them , thinking I was all tough and all and almost lost a kidney. What gits me is that they will give you some pain med at the ER and send you home like , go pass it , its no big deal, but if your kidney is blocked for long enough it can shut down. This is what they dont tell you until it happens. Once shut down , there is no guarantee it will start functioning again. This happened to me and it was no fun. It was almost a year before it began to work again . Please don't ignore this . Hope you feel better soon too.

Wow. That's really scary, Sniper. I'd never heard about that happening, either.

Why did you need the ice pack, t'dawg? I've never had a stone before so can't really understand what you're feeling: does it burn and swell as it's coming out?

I'm so glad you were able to get out and do something fun. Sounds to me like you needed and deserved a break.

Also can leave scar tissue in the ureters that blocks flow. They have to go in and repair that . Guess how I know . Have you ever seen the scope they use for a colon scope ? Yep,, same one, different orifice.

Sorry Dawg , never meant to be the voice with the negative news . Just wanted you to know that the ER folks treat stones like they are no big deal. They shoot you up with pain meds and send you home. Fact is most stones do pass, with lots of pain but only a chance of infection,,,,,But,,,,,,, that is not always the case and I am proof. But then I seem to always do things the hard way . Hope you get some med to help you and you can stop or at least slow these precious stones down. Had I saved all of mine I could have paved the drive .

I'm glad you're home, Dawg, but sorry for the extra complications you had. I'm glad you had Mrs Dawg there: I can only imagine what might have happened otherwise.

Good to hear you have your own personal physician and she can keep you under wraps till your better. Glad it all went ok. Get some much needed rest and heal fast. By the way I had a friend that had corpul tunnel surgery . Doc wanted to do one at a time but she insisted on having both to get it over with. All went great until she had to use the bathroom . Good thing for her she had two careing daughters .

Glad to hear you are on the recovering side of this surgery. Also, happy to hear your wife saved you a ER trip, yeah for her! Now just rest up and allow things to heal. No getting crazy mister. Hugs!

Yep Dawg, I can not see me having my kids do my paper work for me , but then I dont have kids so I would have to go out in the back yard and drag my behind around in the grass like a real dog . Hope your getting some rest. No football or tennis unless your just watching on TV. Dont go signing up for the iron man triathlon either .
