PB4, I have to say that your reasoning is the same as every other smoker I have ever talked to. All the studies are wrong and cigarettes aren't nearly as bad for us as "they" make them out to be, so I will just have my few and continue on with my life. That is just fine, you are entitled to do as you please.
But let me just ask, if BB was your son, who is almost the same age, would you be encouraging him to take up an addicting habit, that will most likely cause damage to his health in the long run, or would you be advising him to try to get nicotine from a patch or some other source. IF in fact nicotine is helpful?
I am stepping off my soap box and getting out of this thread. This is one of my extreme hot buttons. I have seen too much damage done by cigarettes and lost way too many loved ones in too many awful manners to see someone encouraged to pick up such a dangerous and deadly habit in such a cavalier way.
