I'm not on remicade. But I started going to a naturopath in June and she also recommended the food sensitivities testing. I decided to do an elimination diet in part so I could really change my eating habits and also because I wasn't entirely sure I would stop eating gluten or dairy if they got flagged on a blood test. It's not easy going three weeks without soy, dairy, gluten, corn, tomatoes, peanuts, shellfish or sugar. I found out that when I drink milk or eat yogurt, my joints ache, and I also get really moody when I eat more than one serving of gluten a day or combine gluten with dairy.
I'd like to do the blood tests just to help identify more of what I am sensitive to. It got a little muddled when I ate two of the foods I eliminated to know if it was just the combo or what.
Anyway--I'm rambling, but I found it helpful for identifying a couple of things that are affecting my immune system and I'm really happy that I'm eating better than I ever have in my life, and I feel like my Crohn's is the best it's ever been too.
