Humira and Nerve Damage

Could be just a minor reaction, but it would be a really good idea to have the doctor check it out.

I was on Remicade (a similar drug) for 8 or 9 years and did fine on it all that time. One day, out of the blue, I started experiencing paralysis in my feet and hands. Turns out that Remicade can trigger Guillian-Barré Syndrome, which is where the immune system can attack the peripheral nervous system. It's really rare, I think I was the 13th or 14th case in the world of that happening with Remicade. I'm ok now, but it was an interesting experience to say the least. Don't let it scare you, but I'd encourage you to talk to your doctor.

Now that I'm on the subject, I'm sitting here in bed and my cheeks are feeling tingly... :)

Was on Humira for just over 6 months to treat my Crohn's. Had to stop it because of strange side effects. It started with a red dry-like throat with a water-like blister on my uvula. Then my esophagus became painful. It's been months now since I stopped taking Humira, yet I'm still dealing with body tremors, random pains in my neck, left shoulder, chest, ears (with tinnitus), teeth/jaw pain, headaches,  sore-to-the-touch facial skin (random areas) and nerve tingling feelings about my scalp that come and go. Has anyone out there experienced such side effects?

Humira has a lot of lawsuits going on. Many claims are related to it causing cancers. But what many of you might not know is that many are claiming it's the Humira that's caused permanent nerve damage.  See links below;

Unless you are really really sick and have completely run out of ALL options, I recommend avoiding this drug. The company, which had a 2010 worldwide sales of $6.5 billion, seems to have turned their heads to this. It's all about the $$$$$$!!
