So, I had surgery on June 10 to remove a narrowing, and they found a duodenal ulcer. They did not remove it. They were hoping that I would respond to medication.
My hemoglobin is 62. NOT RESPONDING TO MED'S.
I have been referred to another surgeon by my gastroenterologist and have been recommended to go to the Mayo Clninc.
WHY YOU ASK????
Because apparently the ugly bleeding duodenal ulcer is located really close to my pancreas AND the major aorta that feeds your lower half.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Another surgery and it could be risky???
I am asking everyone to please respond with some sort of something so I can start thinking about what I should be doing? I have another gastroscope on wednesday, iron infusion on tuesday, and could be a month to see the new surgeon. I am having my files copied as we speak so I can send to the Mayo Clinic.
Please say something, I am getting worn out by all this, and yes the darn ulcer is caused by the crohns.
