Travel Insurance

Morning all.

I thought getting travel insurance would be a quick phone call, list all my problems and then get told the huge price I have to pay. But I am finding that they won't cover me for my combination of pre-existing conditions.

Does anyone know of any UK insurers that provide good cover?

Whenever we are going on a big trip, I always get the travel insurance. I have never had to list my issues. I read through the contract and know that as long as I am stable when I book the trip I can't be denied the cancellation for say an emergency hospital stay for CD. If I am all over the map with my medications and having multiple ER visits at the time of the booking, then they have every right to say no and deny my request for the refund.

Are you trying to book the travel insurance through a travel agent? or just on your own? I have always done it as part of my whole package.
