I had one done about
5-6 yrs ago and so glad since the symptoms of lactose intolerance was easily masked by my crohn's...it seems like so many here have issues even though they are taking meds and some that have altered their diets.

Never had one done, but I never had a problem with milk or milk products.

Don't need a test to know that when I drink milk or eat pizza I am a belching machine. Now I use lactose-free milk and take lactaid pills when I want to have some ice cream - pizza is ok within limits.

I had one done about
4 years ago. I have no idea why the specialist decided to run the test at that point. When I went to my family doctor at age 13 with what I suspected was CD I was told I was just lactose intolerant. I stopped drinking milk and was pretty good for 10 years. Every time I eat/drink too much milk the symptoms return so I know I am intolerant and didn't need the test to confirm it, but of course it was positive. I can have a little milk in tea or some kinds of tea, but anything more and I need a fist full of lactaid pills.

I am the same as kazbern no test needed as the symptoms alone are what made me quit drinking milk. I can have some lactose free once in awhile.
