I made a compound butter with some herbs from my garden. I froze it in small containers and have been using it on all sorts of things for the last few months. I did notice that when I put it on plain noodles, I would have a bad night. I thought it might be too much butter, since I was a bit heavy handed with it. But the more I use it, the more I am realizing that I think it is the herbs that are bothering me. I had some on rice yesterday. Rice is one of the 2 or 3 safe food I can eat right now. I always put butter on my rice, but I was miserable afterward and for the rest of the day. I really don't want to give up all flavor, but if I could figure out which herb or combo might be the likely suspect, maybe I can make a new batch and still have some tasty food.
Here's what I put in:
Parsley
Scallion
Thyme
Mint
Basil
Oregano
Anyone know if any of those are likely to cause trouble? or is it just the fact that I put something green in my mouth?
