colonoscopy

I just had a colonoscopy done this week, and the doctor said he did'nt see signs of Crohn's disease so he said maybe I did not have it.  I used to have the diarrhea and still have abdominal pain, and was dx when I was having active symptoms.  I now have joint swelling and pain so am getting Remicade.  Remicade is the only drug that stops my symtoms of the joint pain.  I am wondering if any body else has just the joint pain right now, and no problems with there abdomen.  I feel that because my bowels are all right right now that he will stop my Remicade.  Please let me know if anyone else has the joint pain without abdominal problems.

I was thinking exactly what NCOT said. I would be afraid that stopping remicade would = return of the crohn's symptoms...

I had surgery earlier this year and had a scope last week. My doctor was able to see the (ileocecal valve) resected area and see the surgical incision. My terminal ileum was clean. She did not tell me that I no longer had crohns.

I would hope that a successful med would also give you a clean scope. That would mean the med is doing its job and that you were in remission.

I think I have to say I agree with PB4 here. I think your doc is nuts saying that. Your meds just healed everything up and I would venture to say you are just in remission. Hugs!
