Is it safe to Breastfeed while taking Humira?

Hello I have been taking Humira since April 2011 and am now 10weeks pregnant. I have looked into making sure it was safe to take while pregnant and my GI doctor also confirmed it as well. My main concern is that I want to be able to breastfeed my child because I have breastfeed my other 3 children when they were born. My OB doctor says it is my decision but before I make a definite one I want to know of other women who have breastfeed while on Humira. Thank you. :-)

I breastfed for 7 months while taking humira. My daughter is almost 3 and there have been no negative effects.

This link will give you specific information regarding humira and milk transfer. It's a personal decision and entirely up to you to do what you feel is best. I personally feel fine about having done it and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Especially since the transfer is most likely negligible if anything.
