New member with parastomal hernia

Hi All, I have found the posts that come up on a google search to be helpful in my experience with IBD. My diagnosis is not a sure thing. Could not be sure after surgery if Crohn's or UC. Either way, I am having a recurrence if large parastomal hernia and have been told it needs to be desired or I may be reconnected. With unsure diagnosis I am wary of reconnect but would obviously prefer such an outcome For those who have experienced this I was wondering how it turned out. I am nervous of long adjustment time post surgery. Was keeping your job a

Hey there,

I had a peristomal hernia a few years ago and the only option at the time was to move the ostomy to another area and fix the hernia. Well that worked but it left behind scar tissue and the scar tissue has days when it likes to cramp. Kinda like a muscle cramp. Other than that, no other issues.
