Has anyone every tried this. I have read up on it, and it seems to be beneficial. Better than gatorade!

I tried it, but I personally didn't like it. But I do like coconut. Wierd huh?

Same here, but I choked it down, it is just so boring. But I will do it again, I believe it also has healing properties for the intestinal wall????

I really hate different flavors. I like what I like. But I too had heard it was suppose to be really good. So I bought some and tucked it into the back of the fridge. I bought a flavored one because I had heard that it didn't taste all that good plain. I think it was mango. Well of course I put off trying it because it wasn't water or tea and that is all I like to drink, smilewinkgrin , and soon enough it had expired. It kind of smelled good going down the drain, so maybe I will try another flavored one and actually drink it this time.

I am the same way Zanne, how do you tolerate Ensure and Boost, I gag at the slightest smell of it. When I was in the hospital and they "made" me drink it. I put it in a cup with ice, drank through a straw with my nose plugged, downed it, then put a piece of strong gum ( peppermint) in my mouth and chewed it with my nose still plugged!! That is the only way I could put it down. Pretty pathetic eh?? LOL

I was driving my father in law to his radiation treatment one day, and he got in the van, opened his Boost and I got a whiff of it and started gagging, he was like, what is wrong with you? I laughed and told him. I had the window open and hanging my head out. He was laughing!!! He said "well I don't need to witness that again so I will never bring one of those again". Too funny, he passed away but that is our last funny story together, and thought I would share.

I love it, I do not like the flavors, just plain. The flavored ones often contain questionable ingredients and they are too sweet for my liking.

Too Funny! I always hold my nose for those nasty drinks, if you can't smell them you can't taste them! But I like other things, like milkshakes and some coffee drinks and juice, but any of those *ade drinks, yuck ; p I am suppose to be drinking them now, but I just can't. I have found Smart Water. It has electrolytes in it, so hopefully it is enough.

I don't mind coconut milk straight from a coconut, but only in small amounts. I'm going to check them out anyway.

ya, the brand I bought is called ZICO, found it in a health food store, look in the coolers!

I tried a small bottle of the coconut water as well. I thought it smelled pretty good until I tried it! I try to drink coconut milk with my cereal/protein shakes but I guess I need an acquired taste for the water. :)

I always liked the real stuff right out of the coconut but it really gave me the runs .I'm not sure about the one that comes in a carton . I would be concerned about additives and preservatives .

Coconut water has quite specific taste, at first I didn't like it at all but now I drink almost every day, especially when I go to gym as I've heard many times that coconut water is one of the best natural alternatives to sports drinks, you can read here why, it contains many vitamins and minerals.
