Colazal side effects

Has anyone had issues with worsening symptoms after starting Colazal? If so, how do you know if it's the disease or the medication?

I was on Asacol when I switched to Colazal. I did have an increase of symptoms for about 2 weeks but than things stablized. How long has it been since you started on Colazal?

It'll be 3 weeks tomorrow, I noticed more symptoms beginning at 2 weeks. For the first 8 days, though, I was also on a quick Prednisone taper.

Were you still having symptoms when you did the pred taper? If so, the increase of symptoms may be from that in addition to starting Colazal - too much of a shock to your system perhaps?

I was feeling basically 100% while on pred and the week after I stopped. Even before starting that, I had barely noticeable symptoms ever. Until last week. So I really don't know.
