I saw my doc today and he prescribed Rifaximin (Xifaxan). As I browse the net a lot, my doc asked me not to search for this drug and not to ask him what's for, take it 3 times per day for 2 weeks and then report the results to him. Of course, I browsed the net and I found that it is prescribed for traveler's D and IBS and it necessitates that there is no blood with D.
I have read this name a lot in your posts but i don't know what's its relationship to Crohn's? Or are we going back to square1 and say that it is IBS? This contradicts with what he has told me regarding the narrowing of the anus as he thinks it's because of inflammation.
Your replies are highly appreciated.
