so sad, pain after colonscopy

i had a full, sedated colonscopy two mondays ago.
I had severe pain after that and lasted about three days.
I decided to go with liquid diet and took ciproxin (adives by doctor), the pain subsided and until two days ago I felt quite good (sure still I felt something but not very much).

two nights ago I suddenly felt again the same pain and more... in my left side belly...
yesterday was a nightmare today a bit better but still I can't quite walk and breathe...

in ten years I never had so much pain from my crohn!

why that colonscopy made me so sick? did anyone have the same problem?

My last scope put me into a flare. Not looking forward to the next one. I hope you feel better soon! And please call your DR.

I have to see him on 22 december and next tuesday I'll see a new one! I don't want to anticipate those two appointments going to er

asdrubale, I agree, please go see your doc sooner rather than later....it's very possible to colonoscopies to bring on flares but if you've never experianced what you are currently going through then it shouldn't be put off. I know strange things can happen with having CD but it's really important you discuss any changes with your doc.

Going to the ER isn't out of the question either if you can't get your appointment bumped up sooner than the 22....that's a long way away from now. Good luck!

I have never had a flare up caused by a colonoscope but for me, this is a flare up. As other posters have mentioned, call your doc asap.
