Gluten Free, Starch Free, possible Celiec disease.. having Crohns for years.

Does anybody try any gluten free starch free???? while having Crohns?

 I am trying to figure out since I was on strict diet.. to see if it works. to see if it works. and then I noticed that having a stomach ache just 20 minutes after eatting a bread. and try another different food.. and starting to notice that yeast bread or anything makes me sick. and reading celiec disease info.. know what its too confusing for me.

if those work. and I dont have to have medication anymore so I can be free from pills.

I eliminated gluten from my diet early last summer. I do not have Celiac disease, but I have determined that I am intolerant of gluten. They are not the same, although both require that you eliminate gluten from your diet. I still take my meds for Crohn's though.

A lot of people with Crohn's have a sensitivity to gluten.

its so hard... because you know your favorite meal you used to when you were growing up.. and sorry... cannot have that if you eat that.. you will get really sick or flares or whatever. tempting.. to be gluten free and i am trying my hardest to find gluten free meals. xantham gum... whatever what else.. rice flour.. etc i never seen in the stores. but i have seen online.. oh forgot one thing. my husband is IBS. last night we were talking about meals... and If i want to make veggie pizza with gluten free crust.. ( have to find online for crust.) my husband cannot have flour... NO flour.. have to be flourless.. and some other food as well.. and our meal is totally different now. and harder for me to make 3 different meals.. for my kids.. myself, and husband.

I have found gluten free pizza crusts in the freezer section at my local grocer. I live in a big city, though, so it might be more available. I also have found gluten-free pasta that I like (the ones made with quinoa are my favorites). So if it's pasta night at home I make the sauce and then I make two different kinds of noodles. It can be a pain, but it's not as hard as I worried it would be. If your husband is going completely grain-free, then maybe you should, too, and make everything easier for you both.

There are plenty of gluten-free products out there so I haven't found my new diet to be that restrictive. I don't get to eat the cakes and cookies at work though, which has been good for my waistline.
