I had a bowel resection in April of last year. Does the place where the TPN went in ever heal?

Sorry, I can't help with that. Maybe add "bowel resection" to your title and it will be seen by those who have experience with that. Good luck!

viennaman, I retitled your post in hopes that it would attract more views to hopefully get you some answers.

Where was your TPN line put in - arm, or near your collar bone? I have had lines in both areas and they have healed, with only a little scar to show the spot. The wound should heal within a few weeks, and the scarring within a year or two.

If that site hasn't healed by now it isn't going to w/o help. You should see your doctor and point it out to him. Something "ain't" kosher and it is NOT a good thing.
Get thee to your doctor about
this.
