Hi there, I was recently diagnosed with Crohn's myself. I was diagnosed in 5/11 and have a follow up visit tomorrow with my GI doc. After reading these responses here, I just want to cry!! I don't have diarhea nor do I move my bowels more than once a day usually if that! I am constipated more often than not. In the past 6 months since my dx, I have struggled to get a control on things and still don't have it. I have recently become very gassy, both ways, bloated, left hip and low back pain that just will not give up. I been back to the doctor's several times in the past 6 months, always to be told "it's your guts"! Well what do I do about
them? No one has really given me a good answer. I found this site a few months back but haven't been religious about
checking here, but I will change that immediately. Thanks for all the things to try, I will attempt them and see what happens.
Also, has anyone ever tried sodium bicarbonate, AKA baking soda?? I did, along with Activia yogurt, but the gas got too difficult to manage.
