Undiagnosed & uninsured.

I've been told for a while now to get on medicaid before my insurance runs out. Have you tried that? It takes a long time to get approved though. :( I am unemployed because I quit my job after calling in so much from being in pain all the time. I've had surgery to remove most of my colon and I'm going back for the second surgery in a week. I'm on my mother's insurance right now that she gets from her job at whirlpool. It's very good insurance, but the plant is shutting down this summer. I'm sorry that your going through this..Are your parents still working? Do you think anyone could carry you on their insurance plan? You could offer to pay them some amount every month or just pay what the insurance doesn't pay if anyone can or will put you in their insurance plan. In the mean time, take care of yourself as much as you can. What are some of your symptoms? If you have sharp, localized pain, you could have a blockage. If you have achy pain all over, then it may be inflammation all over. Research whenever you can. There are certain foods that can ease symptoms and over the counter meds that can also help, such as probiotics. Avoid hard foods like wheat products, cut down on acidic foods too, like tomato products. If your having really bad symptoms, a liquid diet for a few days can definitely help ease symptoms. you could see if you could get involved in a clinical trial for something.  i was in one 2 years ago and had 2 colonoscopies in a year that were not charged to my insurance, they were charged, to the study, I also got all meds free during the study and they paid me $200 as a stipend for being in the study.
