Do others have this problem???

I have been on Remicade 5mg/kg and 6MP 75mg for 2 1/2 years and in full remission, (wonderful feeling). However 6 months ago developed both right and left side pain, bloating, gas, and constipation. For last 5 months I have been on Prednisone decreasing doses which seem to work down to 20mg then I get constipated again and the pain and bloat comes back EVEN after clearing out my bowel with Milk of Mag (which does a great quick job). In the last week my doc did a cat scan, colonoscopy and gastroscopy and there were NO signs of a blockage or inflamation anywhere from esophagus to rectum. Ilium was open and clear. What could be causing this discomfort? Have any of you experienced anything like this? I will really appreciate ANY response because I am very frustrated. Thanx, Frank

Are your stools really sticky? One thing comes to mind is a possible bacterial overgrowth. I have had that and I had alot of discomfort in my guts, sticky stools, bloating and gassy. It became even worse after I ate. My doc didn't do any tests for it, but just went off the symptoms. Treatment was 10 days of a med like Cipro and a stronger probiotic. Hope this helps some. PS I use stool softners nightly to keep things softer and easier to pass. Helps alot. Hugs!
