I was taking Remicade for 2 years but ended up with a UTI infection that would not go away. Took several rounds of antibiotics the past several months to no avail. My GI took me off of the Remicade thinking that since it lowers my resistance to fight infections this could be a part of the cause of the UTI.
She put me on Endocort a few weeks ago. What arre some of the side effects that people have experienced on Endocort?

I didnt have any side effects from it.....just takes a while for it to kick in....prednisone is its evil sister is the one with side effects...

Im on Entocort and would prefer Predisone to this stuff. Per the Pharmacy Predisone and Entocort have the same side effects and the same long term problems. Just entocort is more money. I felt normal on Predisone, but not on this :(

Entocort has worked for me every time I've been on it (3x) with no side effects that I can notice. Hope it works for you, it takes about a month for it to make me feel a lot better. :)

I love Entocort. But take care it is for Crohn's in the terminal ileum and not the colon. I have been taking it for two months now along Methotrexate and Pentasa tablets and Pentasa enema as Entocort does not reach the colon and the rectum. The good thing about Entocort is that it is not systemic,i.e., only acts in the terminal ileum and no other place unlike pred, which is a real evil. Pred caused me hypertension.

I always felt well when I was on Entocort. It did raise my blood pressure. I have osteopenia and I think Entocort may have had something to do with that.

my daughter was put on Entocort when she was 1st diagnosed with very little side effects. I was thankful our insurance covered most the cost since it was expensive. she was also on the antibiotics for several months. had to be weaned off Entocort over several months. she currently is not on any presribed meds. 6MP and Pentasa was really bad for her and she can't take any of those.
