dusty...I agree, you are not in remission, and to the best of my knowledge, it does not go away. It's just the diet that is helping and just so you are aware...you may take all the tests and scopes and biopsies and be told you are negative for Crohn's, but still have Crohn's. Then again you might not, but the fact is you could. It happened to me. If I had not asked my GI could I could have Crohn's and still be "flying under the radar of the tests" I would not have ever known that I do have it. It was only when I found out my Grandson has it, was I then convinced that it was my problem no matter what the tests said, so I put myself on a gluten free diet ( you can find that diet on the net on lots of sites, and with food, be careful, lots of things have hidden gluten), I also went dairy free (I have problem with lactose) and fat free... because the GIs (Dr.s) I have seen could not nail down what really is wrong, they could only say if my self imposed diet is working, stay on it. I can tell you that if I don't leave all these things out of my diet then I have problems. I too started out on Imodium, then liquid Imodium, then RX Imodium, and now 12 years later, I take Cholestyramine RX. It works and it's inexpensive. You can read about
it on the net. It's an old drug and there is lots written on it and then ask your Dr. about
it. It might be something that will work for you.
