First Cimzia Injection Yesterday

GI saw some inflammation last scope. So, we are trying Cimzia. No major symptoms otherwise. Questran keeps the frequent bm's under control. Otherwise health is good. The injection itself went fine. No lasting soreness or redness. Next dose in two weeks.

I was wondering what to expect. How common are the dreaded side effects that you read about are? Has it helped with the Crohn's?

I haven't had any side effects at all. It's helping the crohn's and only helping the arthritis a little. I've been on it about 9 months. So far so good. Hope it goes well for you too!

I haven't had it but a friend of mine started it in December & I talked to her the other day & she said she feels incrediable, was voted sweetheart queen at her highschool & hasn't had any side affects! I must add, she looks absolutely more beautiful now too! She isn't always pale & cold either because her Anemia has gotten a lot better too!

She said it took about 6 weeks for it to work but it did.

I started noticing improvement after 4 weeks and definite improvement after 6.

I think everyone is different with side effects. I've had some unusual ones like 4-5 days of migraines after the shots. I'm experiencing more fatigue and joint pain now too, but the GI and rheumy thing that it's just my Crohn's isn't completely under control yet.
