Crohn's disease progression to colon

Hello,

I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease almost 10 years ago. It has been far from an easy battle, with many surgeries, life threatening infections, multiple hospitalizations, and every medication out there. Currently I am on Humira since Remicade failed for my CD 2 years ago. My first large resection (1.5 feet) was in my ileum, and since I have had stricture plasty and resections all throughout my small bowel. I am writing because I am beyond frustrated. Over the past year I was hospitalized over 20 times, had a PEG feeding tube for 8 months and have been extremely ill. I deal with constant pain, everyday of my life, and I am only 25 years old. Recently, I found out that my CD has spread to my colon, which I honestly didn't think was very common. Has anyone else had this happen? And, what does this entail? I have been passed around from specialist to specialist in search of an answer, and nothing seems to get my CD under control. I have been living with the disease for quite some time, so I definitely have learnt to deal, but to date, my main concern is this new occurrence of CD in my colon. Does anyone have any suggestions, tips or can relate to what I am going through?

Lomotil daily for diarrhea
