Remicade

Welcome to Healing Well, bellysick! A person's response to Remicade, really depends on the person and the severity of disease. I have a "mild" case of CD, and my gut symptoms disappeared after about the 4th infusion. I saw improvements for a few days after the 2nd, then for about 2 weeks after the 3rd, and then for almost a month after the 4th.

We have other members that have taken much longer to see improvements. I'm sure others with relate their experiences. Hang in there!

In the beginning, it was prior to each infusion. After about 6 months is went to about every 3 months. I was on Imuran at the same time, and that does require more monitoring when one starts it.
